When they say the camera adds 10 pounds, they weren’t playing. Below, you can see an image of a man’s face taken with a 20mm lens right up to a 200mm and every stage see’s a change in shape and size. Barrel distortion, amongst many things, can be to blame for this effect. That is when straight lines look like they’re curving out because of the nature of the lens.
