Saying Skepta has had the best few years of his career is a major understatement, and things do not seem to be slowing down for the UK grime veteran.
Skepta was recently featured in Evening Standard, as well as gracing the cover, to discuss his recent success, winning the mercury prize and apparently, creating a BBK film. BBK, otherwise known as Boy Better Know, is a grime collective founded by Skepta and his brother and fellow MC JME over a decade ago. Years later, and the same collective now holds some of the most important talent in UK grime history including Wiley, Jammer, Shorty and even US hip-hop legend Drake. Skepta now unveils his plans on creating a movie based on the London crew.
It’s going to be about Boy Better Know but not in [a completely] autobiographical way
